Bottle Description
This Ardmore bourbon barrel #23/800239 was filled on 16th May 2023 and has been maturing in storage at Volpe & Castello, Fife.
Original Figures: 122.42L | 63.4% ABV
Re-Gauged on 22nd May 2026: 111.4L | 62.4% ABV
Volpe & Castello do not charge any account opening fees and current storage cost is £0.97 per cask per week. This is subject to annual increase and will be arranged directly with the warehouse.
Please note:
Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received and paperwork is completed between all parties. Funds will be held by PWA until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask delivery order to ensure we protect the transaction.
Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling, if applicable.
Distillery Information
Ardmore Distillery, located in the village of Kennethmont, was built in 1898 and is owned and operated by Suntory Global Spirits.
Their Traditional Cask expression was superceded by Legacy in 2014 before being re-launched in 2015 with the addition of a Triple Wood & Port Wood whisky.

It is important to note that should an outer box be provided, it will be photographed and shown regardless of the condition. If there is not an image of an outer box, this means it is absent and will not be provided.
All lots can have insurance against breakage or loss during transit added at an additional cost. This is available to add at the checkout at a cost of 4% of the hammer price. Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of the liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against leakage in transit.

How much does it cost to buy a lot during auction?
The successful bidder will be charged the following fees:
Buyer Commission – 10% of final winning bid, known as hammer price.
Delivery – Costs for delivery will depend on shipping address and size/weight of
package. See Shipping & Insurance for more information.
Please note that VAT (currently 20%) will be added to all costs for UK-based buyers. Those out with the UK will not be charged VAT however it may be applicable for the country to which the package is being shipped.
When is payment due for bottles I have won?
Payment should be made immediately after an auction has ended. We will allow up to 72 hours from auction end to make payment in full. If you haven’t paid for your won items within 72 hours, you will be charged a late payment fee which is 4% of the full outstanding balance.
How quickly will I receive my winning lot?
At the checkout, you will see the delivery charge and the estimated transit time. Every order will be shipped via a trackable courier service and a tracking number will be provided to you. To avoid any disappointment, please make sure that we can ship to your country prior to bidding in an auction.
