Bottle Description

Located in the heart of Fife, The Single Cask is a respected independent bottler dedicated to showcasing exceptional spirits one cask at a time. With a focus on individuality and an innovative approach to flavour, they carefully select and bottle only the most distinctive casks. Their commitment to quality and presentation has earned multiple gold and silver awards, including Best Bottle Design in 2020.

This Ledaig whisky was distilled on 5th March 1993 and left to mature in a single hogshead #247 for 29 years.

It was then selected and bottled in April 2022 and is one of only 239 produced.

Distillery Information
Destillery logo

The Tobermory Distillery, founded in 1798, was originally known as the Ledaig distillery, pronounced ‘led-chig’ and meaning safe haven in Gaelic.

The distillery closed in 1930, and remained closed until 1972 when it reopened as the Tobermory distillery.

The distillery today runs two distinctly separate distillations; peated spirit for six months of the year, and unpeated for the remainder. Single malt is released under both names, with Tobermory being reserved for the unpeated versions.

Important Notice

All items are carefully inspected and any marks or damage are noted within the lot description. We do however strongly recommend that you undertake a thorough close-up inspection prior to placing any bids. If you are not satisfied with the information shown and would like more details, please contact us on [email protected] and our team will be happy to help. It is also important to note that lots will be sold as seen and described.

It is important to note that should an outer box be provided, it will be photographed and shown regardless of the condition. If there is not an image of an outer box, this means it is absent and will not be provided.

All lots can have insurance against breakage or loss during transit added at an additional cost. This is available to add at the checkout at a cost of 4% of the hammer price. Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of the liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against leakage in transit.
