Bottle Description

Mr George Urquhart, fondly named "Mr George", was the second generation of the family who own the infamous bottlers, Gordon & MacPhail.

This whisky was laid down by Mr George on 24th December 1953 and left to mature in a single first-fill sherry butt #4209.

An exceptional whisky, this has been matured for an outstanding 67 years before being bottled by Gordon & MacPhail on 5th January 2021.

An extremely rare and well-presented release, this is one of only 355 bottles.

Important Notice

All items are carefully inspected and any marks or damage are noted within the lot description. We do however strongly recommend that you undertake a thorough close-up inspection prior to placing any bids. If you are not satisfied with the information shown and would like more details, please contact us on [email protected] and our team will be happy to help. It is also important to note that lots will be sold as seen and described.

It is important to note that should an outer box be provided, it will be photographed and shown regardless of the condition. If there is not an image of an outer box, this means it is absent and will not be provided.

All lots can have insurance against breakage or loss during transit added at an additional cost. This is available to add at the checkout at a cost of 4% of the hammer price. Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of the liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against leakage in transit.
